The Altman-Ive Connection: Curious about what they’re up to?
Design articles i found interesting
For the past couple of years, two of the most brilliant minds in technology have joined forces. Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, and Jony Ive, former Apple chief design officer, are looking to change the landscape of what our every day looks like. For the past two decades, the smartphone has been key. The goal of these two men is to create a third product that would compliment the laptop and phone, and change the way we view technology.
Here’s what we know:
It will be pocket-sized and move away from screen-based interactions.
It won’t replace a phone or laptop, but complement them instead.
The goal is to be unveiled by late 2026
So what does this mean? It’s too early to truly know, but the speculation implies that screens are on their way out. Will voice be the new medium? Or something else?
